7 Night Safari in Kafue National Park

Day 1
You will be met on arrival at Lusaka International Airport prior to the immigration and customs barriers, you will be assisted with arrival procedures and then introduced to the driver that will take you to Mukambi Lodge. Depending on traffic as you cross Lusaka the journey to Mukambi will take between 3 and 4 hours

Day 1 – 3 Mukambi Lodge
Set in the central area of the Kafue this camp is set on the east bank of the Kafue River. There are 8 chalets one of which is a family unit, 4 Luxury Safari tents and 1 family Villa. Activities from the camp are predominantly conducted by vehicle on the western side of the river although walks and boat trips are also offered.

Day 3-5 Fig Tree Bushcamp
Just 4 rooms each set about 3 meters above ground and overlooking a lagoon in the heart of the central area of the Kafue next to a beautiful beach created by the dried sand banks of the Shishamba River . Fig-Tree is about 1 ½ hours’ drive from Mukambi Lodge and the habitat it enjoys is somewhat different from its sister camp. Here you will enjoy both game drives and walking safaris.

Day 5-8 Busanga Plains Camp 
This small bush-camp is located in the northern part of the Busanga Plains, the transfer from the central Kafue Area is about 5 hours, it takes you through a variety of habitats as you work your way north through the Park. The camp comprises 4 tents set on wooden decks positioned on a lovely palm island close to where the Lufupa River emerges onto the plains. The Busanga Plains are probably the most productive area of the Park for game-viewing and one of the few places in Zambia where you have a chance to see cheetah.

Day 8
A shuttle flight From Busanga Airstrip located at the bottom of the plains will return you to Lusaka Airport where you will connect to your onward flight.
